Exchange Programme 2021 call for applications: deadline 26th February 2021 (18:00, Brussels time)!
EJTN is delighted to announce the opening of the call for applications to the 2021 Exchange Programme for Judicial Authorities!
The Exchange Programme for judicial authorities is the EJTN flagship activity.
The below activities are now open for applications as part of the Exchange Programme 2021.
Short-term exchanges in the courts/prosecutions offices of the EU MS
- Short-term (two weeks or one week) general exchanges for judges and prosecutors in the courts/prosecution offices of the EU Member States (EU MS) enable participants to share the work of their counterparts in another EU country and to familiarise themselves with a judicial system other than their own.
- Specialised exchanges are designed for judges/prosecutors specialised in a specific area of law. Exchanges are offered in the courts/prosecution offices of the EU MS in a vast array of specialisations.
- Exchanges for court presidents and chief prosecutors allow members of the judiciary to shape their leadership and management skills.
- Exchanges for judicial trainers are organised in the judicial training institutions of the EU MS allowing participants to become familiar with the training methodologies, pedagogical tools, training programmes and best practices in the training of judges and prosecutors in the EU MS.
Bilateral exchanges between courts/prosecution offices of the EU MS
In an exchange between two courts/prosecution offices of two different EU MS, one court/prosecution office from an EU MS will send a delegation of several judges/prosecutors to the corresponding court/prosecution office of the other EU MS, who will act as the hosting institution. Please read the call for applications for bilateral exchanges for details on how to apply. Attention: Applications for bilateral exchanges should not be submitted through the online application form. Applicant courts/prosecution offices should submit an exchange project comprising the duly completed and signed application form, hosting agreement and privacy disclaimer to their national training institution.
Study visits in various institutions will also be available in 2021 and will be opened for applications later.
Main target group: Judges, Prosecutors, Trainers
Learning outcomes: Upon the successful completion of a short-term exchange, participants will have enhanced their practical knowledge of other judicial systems as well as European and human rights law through direct contacts, exchange of views and experiences with their European counterparts.
Come and take part in the truly remarkable EJTN Exchange Programme 2021!
Please note that the selection of participants to the Exchange Programme is the sole prerogative of EJTN’s Member organisations.
